HealthTap is pleased to feature Dr. Marco Paliotta, a Notable Medical Expert. Dr. Paliotta is a cardiothoracic surgeon currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma.
After graduating Summa cum Laude from the University of Rome, Dr. Paliotta went on to become board certified in Surgery, Thoracic Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. He has established himself as an expert in the field of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery, completing fellowships at Emory and UCLA. Additionally, Dr. Paliotta has served as Attending Adult Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Portsmouth Regional Hospital and currently is Attending Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon at University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Paliotta is passionate about helping people beyond his local practice, understanding the necessity to provide healthcare to all. This is evident in his extensive volunteer efforts, including mission trips to rural Peru, Ecuador and Egypt to provide congenital cardiac surgery on a humanitarian basis.
This passion for sharing his health knowledge has extended to include interacting with patients through HealthTap’s online services.
