HealthTap is pleased to feature Dr. Troy Sedlmeyer, a Featured Medical Expert. Prior to his medical education, Dr. Sedlmeyer took Ground Radio Communications Specialist & Technician Courses and subsequently worked with the U.S. Airforce as an Electronics Technician. He then received his MD and completed his Residency in Family Medicine, from West Virginia University of School of Medicine, devoting over 100 hours to community service during his education. Dr. Sedlmeyer’s research interests and publications involve the chemistry involved in neuroscience, including work on glial fibrillary acidic protein immunoreactivity. Interestingly, he holds a Patent on a Marble Board Game he invented, and enjoys spending time kayaking and snowboarding. Dr. Sedlmeyer currently practices in Westover, West Virginia as a Family Physician, primarily devoting his hours to Urgent care settings.
Dr. Sedlmeyer enjoys his work on HealthTap because it both allows him to learn from his peers, and for him to provide additional quality health information to a broad audience. “HealthTap is broadening our resources to help our patients gain access to useful or insightful medical information.
